Create an activity or activities where learners absorb, do and connect using the 3 types of interaction.
The HEART of your weekly topic is your learning activities. For task 2 you will need to create a combination of absorb, do and create activities that accomplish your objective of helping learners get started in the first week of their online course.
- Include at least one absorb activity where learners are listening, reading, watching and interacting with the content.
- Include at least one Do activity that requires learners to actively exercise (this may be a stretch), explore and discover. Your Do actively can include any of the three types of interaction but since you need to include all three types of interaction, we suggest focusing on student to instructor and student to student interaction.
- Include at least one Connect type activity to help learner’s link current learning to prior learning, and apply what they learn to future situations and connect with others. Connect activities can create meaningful student to instructor and student to student interaction.
REMEMBER: Your learning activities need to include 3 essential types of interaction. Students need to be interacting with each other, the course content and with you, the teacher.
