- You’ll receive a daily email with your challenge for the day once it begins.
- If you commit and complete the 21 Day Twitter Challenge, you’ll earn a cool badge of honor! Whoo-hoo!

Day 1
- Create your account Twitter 101 Visit www.twitter.com and create a free account.
- Update your profile. It’s also important to put some basics about yourself in your profile. These can be a mix of professional and personal, but know like anything else, there’s a character limit so make it work. Your profile is how others will see your interests and make connections.Start by updating your bio. By default this will be blank, however you should include a little bit of information about yourself. The next thing to consider is an update of your profile picture. Don’t feel that you need to include a picture of yourself as you can easily include a photo of anything else you desire. This is how you will be recognized on Twitter and it’s an important step as it helps users discover you, recognize you and ultimately follow you and your tweets.
- Figure out how to change your egghead picture into a nice catchy profile picture (note: you should try to have your twitter pic look like you somewhat, you never know who you’ll run into face to face)
- Make your first official tweet. Include your name, and if you want to earn a badge include the words I want a badge. Include the#emc21day hashtag.
- FYI:New accounts take a few days before your tweets are indexed and seen by everyone else.
Day 2
- Make your second official tweet. Tell us WHY you do what you do. Include the #emc21day hashtag
Day 3
- Tweet a shout out. Tweet about a positive experience you’ve had recently. Please remember to include the #emc21day hashtag.
Day 4
- Share something you’re looking forward to. This weekend? Next vacation? Please remember to include the#emc21day hashtag.
Day 5
- Share something funny. Tell a funny story. Please remember to include the #emc21day hashtag.
Day 6
- Find and follow 20 people from the lists below.
- Retweet 5 tweets you really liked with a comment including the #emc21day hashtag in each tweet.
Day 7
- Find 5 Twitter hashtags you want to follow from 300+ Educational Twitter Hashtags Being Used Right Now or Trending on Twitter – Hashtags.org. Tweet the hashtag and why you want to follow the hashtag. Include the #emc21day hashtag in each tweet you will have 5 tweets total.
Day 8
- Tweet an attention-grabbing statistic from someone or a hashtag you’re following. Please remember to include the #emc21day hashtag.
Day 9
- Figure out how to tweet out a photo. (this is easiest from a mobile device). Pay attention to what makes you happy today take a picture and tweet it. Include the #emc21day hashtag.
Day 10
- Mention someone notable,with the “@” symbol and their handle, in a tweet. Remember, they don’t know you are trying to talk to them unless you mention them with the “@” symbol and their handle. Also, know that anyone can see this. Please remember to include the #emc21day hashtag.
Day 11
- Post 4 positive tweets today. Include photos. Make one of them a famous quote that you love. Please remember to include the #emc21day hashtag.
Day 12
- Explore your lists and hashtags. Retweet 4 other people’s tweets that reflect your philosophy of teaching and learning about education. Please remember to include the #emc21day hashtag.
Day 13
- Create a Tweet out of Twitter lingo Twitter Lingo. Include a photo that represents what you are saying. Please remember to include the #emc21day hashtag.
Day 14
- Post 4 tweets about gratitude today. Include photos. Make one of them a famous quote that you love. Please remember to include the #emc21day hashtag.
Day 15
- Share your favorite TED Talk. Please remember to include the #emc21day hashtag.
Day 16
- Take and post an image of nature. Tell us where you took the picture. Please remember to include th e#emc21day hashtag.
Day 17
- Post 4 sad but true statement tweets today. Struggles in life are relatable but it’s better to add a little humor. Basically, if something is bugging you, try to think of something funny about the situation. example: A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory. Please remember to include the #emc21day hashtag.
Day 18
- Post 4 Oxymoron statements. Statements or complaints that include oxymorons and make you do a double-take are always winners. Some examples include: Ask me about my vow of silence. Please remember to include the#emc21day hashtag.
Day 19
- Post 4 something funny to think about tweets today.There are many questions that can’t really be answered, but are intriguing. Asking questions or making statements about them. Some possible tweets include: Why is “abbreviation” such a long word? Please remember to include the#emc21day hashtag.
Day 20
- Post 4 funny one-liner tweets today. Here is an example: 1. 43 percent of statistics are made up. Please remember to include the#emc21day hashtag.
Day 21
- Send a direct message to @ gregaloha celebrating your completion of the Twitter Challenge- 50 tweets in 21 days! Include your name in the tweet. Please remember to include the#emc21day hashtag.
